Assistant Professor Suzi D’Annolfo teaches methods classes for elementary and secondary education majors at the undergraduate level and educational foundations at the graduate level. She provides practical, evidence-based methods for engaging learners based on how the pre-adolescent and adolescent brain learns.
D’Annolfo is interested in two streams of work that focus on practical application: (1) Implementing the Building Blocks of Student Engagement (BBSE) to examine the effect of brain-based learning on student engagement and learning as it is aligned to what students need to know, understand, and be able to do; and (2) Implementing the Community of Practice forum to bring together education professionals to benefit students and inform practice.
