Department of Health Sciences and Nursing
Director of Clinical Education Lucy Richard teaches radiographic positioning, anatomy, and patient care in the radiography program. Richard incorporates a wide range of active learning techniques in her classroom, where students engage in hands-on application of radiographic imaging techniques. In the energized x-ray lab and at clinical sites, Richard challenges students and assists them in the development of superb clinical skills that directly improve patient care.
Richard has more than 40 years of clinical experience in clinical radiography and medical image instruction. Her current research interests include video-supported student self-assessment of simulated radiographic positioning, radiography-related issues with elder care, and methods of improving patient care in radiography.
