Teaching Focus
Associate Professor, Susan H. Diehl is the MSN Program Director and teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate levels of the nursing program. Her specialty is nursing education and she also teaches courses in diversity, end-of-life nursing care, and role development. She is the MSN program’s primary writing coach; holding numerous tutorials and guiding MSN students' written projects to publication.
Professional Interests
Diehl’s research interests are focused in the scholarship of teaching and learning in the area of nursing education and community health. She continues to present on aspects of writing across the curriculum and writing for publication in evidence based nursing practice. She is currently involved in a research evaluation of Healthy Northeast, a Hartford neighborhood initiative aimed at improving health and social outcomes.
