Due to winter storm conditions, the University is closed today, Tuesday, Jan. 27.  Day and evening classes are canceled. An updated advisory on the status of classes and operations for tomorrow will be posted this evening. During the time that the University is closed, the Commons, Subway, and Village Market will maintain regular hours for residential dining services and the Sports Center will be open for use by residential students only. Peter Kennedy

Teaching Focus

Peter Kennedy teaches courses in the Respiratory Care Program, and in the Health Science Program. Areas of teaching include: pulmonary anatomy and physiology, cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in respiratory care, the healthcare system, and HIV/AIDS

Professional Interests

With over thirty years as a licensed respiratory care practitioner, Kennedy’s interests include asthma education, practitioner professional development, and program development. His current area of research interest is college student retention. He was recently invited to join the Connecticut Health Improvement Planning Coalition, and has been a member of the Connecticut Multicultural Health Partnership for many years.
