Due to winter storm conditions, the University is closed today, Tuesday, Jan. 27.  Day and evening classes are canceled. An updated advisory on the status of classes and operations for tomorrow will be posted this evening. During the time that the University is closed, the Commons, Subway, and Village Market will maintain regular hours for residential dining services and the Sports Center will be open for use by residential students only. Teaching Focus

Assistant Professor Paul Higgins DPT,MPT,ATC,CSCS educates students in Functional and Clinical Gross Anatomy, Orthopedic Pathology, Clinical Modalities and Research. He also serves as a clinical instructor for the physical therapy program’s clinical integration series, as first year DPT students learn hands-on, in the clinical setting at University Physical Therapy, LLC.  In the community, he is an integral part of a license requirement for Occupational Therapists in New Jersey, as he instructs a 30 hour licensure requirement for therapists using physical modalities.

Professional Interests

Paul Higgins continues to treat patients in his co-owned outpatient physical therapy office, University Physical Therapy, LLC.  His area of interest clinically is sport related injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation, having begun his career as an athletic trainer.  His research focus is on the effectiveness of clinical modalities in the treatment of pathology as well as sport-specific training and athletic performance.
