A blizzard warning goes into effect for our area this evening and Connecticut has issued a statewide travel ban starting at 9 p.m. The University is now closed as of 3 p.m. today and will be closed all day tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 27.  Day and evening classes are canceled through tomorrow. An updated advisory on the status of classes and operations for Wednesday will be posted Tuesday evening. During the time that the University is closed, the Commons, Subway, and Village Market will maintain regular hours for residential dining services and the Sports Center will be open for use by residential students only. Doctorate in Educational Leadership Admissions

Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership

Admission to the Doctoral Program in Education in Educational Leadership is a two-phase process. You must hold a completed master's degree in a related field and have at least three years of professional experience.

Phase I

To complete the initial phase of the application, submit the following:

  • Application form
  • Writing samples (form enclosed in application)
  • Current resume
  • Application fee
  • Official transcripts
  • Three references from professors, employers, or school administrators on the forms supplied with the application

Phase II

Once you have successfully completed phase I, you will receive notification requesting that you schedule an interview with the Educational Leadership Admissions Committee. The admissions interview is the last step in the application process. Successful applicants must (1) demonstrate competence to complete scholarly work, (2) demonstrate skills and/or aptitude for leadership in educational and human service organizations, and (3) demonstrate competency in written expression and in articulating complex ideas verbally.
