Admissions: Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership

Requirements

Please note that applicants must hold a completed master's degree in a related field by the start of their program. It is preferable that applicants have professional experience (minimum of three years). Applicants should also have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 in their master’s program.

Application Process

Applying to the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership is a two-phase process. 

Application Phase

To complete the initial phase of the, submit the following materials:

  • Application for Admission
  • Writing sample (e.g., publication, research paper written in master’s program, master’s thesis)
  • Personal statement
  • Supplemental essay
  • Current resume/curriculum vitae
  • Official transcripts (from all issuing college-level institutions)
  • Three professional references
  • Application fee

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and are typically reviewed once a month by the educational leadership program faculty.

Interview Phase

Once the program faculty has reviewed an application, the applicant may receive notification requesting an interview with afaculty member of the Doctoral Program in Education in Educational Leadership. The admissions interview is the last phase in the application process.
