Certificates - Advanced Imaging Modalities

Students apply lessons learned in the classroom in our on-campus, energized x-ray facility.

The Radiologic Technology program at the University of Hartford prepares graduates for leadership roles in healthcare. Our fully accredited four-year curriculum leads to a Certificate in Radiography and a Bachelor of Science degree.

Our radiologic technology students also gain eligibility for credentialing in an advanced-imaging modality (CT, MRI, or sonography)—highly attractive skills to potential employers.

For the practicing technologist, our advanced certificate programs lead to elibility for an additional credential in an advanced imaging modality (CT, MRI, or sonography) and remain competitive in today's job market.

  • CT and MRI courses meet the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists' (AART) structured education requirement for post-primary certification, effective January 1, 2016.
  • Our sonography program helps prepare students for physics and abdominal specialty exams offered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
