Excessive winter weather delayed the celebration of the secondary education majors' acceptance into the professional program. It was postponed from October to early March. Conflicting meetings and student schedules also prohibited the traditional lunch in the 1877 Club.  Undaunted by delays and scheduling barriers, faculty members Mary Christensen and Suzi D'Annolfo brought the festivities to the classroom.

A small ceremony took place in which each student received a framed quotation by Yeats - Teaching is less about the filling of a pail, and more about the lighting of a fire. Christensen suggested they replace the contents of the frame with their picture upon graduation and finally with a copy of their first paycheck as a teacher!

Faculty and students enjoyed a light supper together to complete the celebration.
