RESNA Honors Barbara Crane

ENHP Associate Professor Barbara Crane, from the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences received a prestigious Fellow Award from the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) at the annual conference held in Indianapolis, Indiana in June 2014. RESNA Fellow Awards recognize members who have made long term and substantial contributions to the fields of rehabilitation or assistive technology as well as significant contributions to RESNA.  The honor was awarded “For her contributions and leadership on International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and American National Standards Institute/RESNA seating standards committees, her many capacities of RESNA leadership, and Assistive Technology education.”  Crane has been an active member in this professional organization for over 20 years, serving in many capacities and leadership roles. She was recognized for her many accomplishments in providing post-professional education in the field of assistive technology and for her leadership in the development of wheelchair and related seating standards at both the international and national levels.
