Joyce Thielen Named Program Director for New Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program at University of Hartford


Joyce Z. Thielen has been named program director for the University of Hartford’s new Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. ENHP students earn dementia care certification


As an increasing number of older adults are diagnosed with dementia, health-care providers need to be ready to work with patients with memory loss. The College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions (ENHP) is helping students prepare for their careers by offering dementia care training for radiologic technology students during the fall semester. The College’s respiratory therapy students will take the training in the spring.

Walton Family Foundation Awards $4.8 Million Grant to the University of Hartford and Montessori Training Center Northeast to Create Montessori Bachelor’s Degree Program


In awarding this competitive grant, the Walton Family Foundation recognizes the decades-long partnership between the two institutions and the success of their collaborative master’s program which incorporates Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) teacher training delivered by MTCNE into the master’s in education curriculum.
