Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Accreditation Renewed

The Doctor of Physical Therapy program underwent an onsite self-study conducted by the Commission on Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) in March of 2013. The program was evaluated according to the Program Standard set for by CAPTE for all Graduate programs in Physical Therapy.

Catherine CertoThe CAPTE Commission reaffirmed accreditation effective November 6, 2013 for a period of ten years which is the maximum duration that may be awarded.

Catherine Certo, chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences in the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions, said, "The successful outcome of this review is due to the faculty and expert clinicians who are committed to progressing the profession of physical therapy through a strong academic and research program. Additionally, the faculty are deeply committed to mentoring those who will become the new professionals of tomorrow."
