Nienhusser, Wisniewski Study College Choice Process of Urban Youth

Kenny Nienhusser, Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership, and Lisa Wisniewski, current doctoral student, received a $10,000 grant from the Women’s Education and Leadership Fund (WELF) for their project titled, “Examining the College Choice Process of Young Women in Hartford.”  The study is part of a broader investigation they are currently working on in Hartford public secondary schools. Their larger investigation explores the college choice process of youth in Hartford from the perspectives of institutional agents and 12th grade students. The  work is entitled, “College-Going Culture and College Choice Process in an Urban Context.”
