Student Philanthropy

Why Give?

Did you know 93% of University of Hartford students receive financial aid? Whether you’re a senior or a freshman, YOU can make a difference in the lives of your peers by supporting the Anchor Fund. It's not about giving a little or a lot, it's about GIVING!

How Can I Help?

  1. Contact the Student Alumni Association today to receive your piggy bank.

  2. Fill your piggy bank with change or cash throughout the semester.

  3. Be on the lookout for emails from Vinny including Roundup reminders and contests.

  4. Attend #FeedVinny Roundups (10/15, and 12/1) to empty your piggy bank and enter for chances to win great prizes!

Who is Vin¢ent?

Vin¢ent, or Vinny the Pig, is our student philanthropy mascot. Named after Vincent Coffin, University of Hartford’s first chancellor, Vin¢ent promotes the legacy of student philanthropy and awareness. He believes in giving back and the power of working together for the future of UHart students.

What’s a #FeedVinny Roundup?

Piggy Roundups are change collecting sessions. The change from your piggy banks will be added to the Anchor Fund to support student financial aid. Together, your change adds up to make an impact on the lives of your fellow Hawks.
