Donor Giving Societies

• President’s Society ($100,000+)
  • Recognizes those who demonstrate the most extraordinary financial commitment to furthering the goals of the University of Hartford. Members of the President’s Society provide annual support of $100,000 and more.
• Ellsworth Society ($50,000-$99,999)
  • Commemorates Founder and Life Regent Grace Ellsworth, who joined with other community leaders in 1957 to coordinate the merger of three area schools (Hillyer College, Hartford Art School and Hartt School of Music) to establish the University of Hartford. Ellsworth Society members support the University of Hartford with gifts of $50,000 to $99,999.
• Auerbach Society ($25,000-$49,999)
  • Commemorates Beatrice Fox Auerbach, a Hartford business woman who initiated a series of programmatic innovations in her management of Hartford’s leading department store. Known as a “quiet philanthropist,” her name is inscribed in the halls of the University of Hartford and Hartford College for Women. Members of the Auerbach Society include donors who make gifts to the University of Hartford of $25,000 to $49,999.
• Regents Circle ($10,000-$24,999)
  • Members of the Regents Circle include donors whose giving assures the strength of the University of Hartford’s academic mission. Regents Circle members support the University of Hartford with gifts of $10,000 to $24,999.
• Hartford Society ($5,000-$9,999)
  • Commemorates the area where the largest portion of the University of Hartford’s main campus lies. Members of the Hartford Society include donors who make gifts to the University of Hartford of $5,000 to $9,999.
• 1877 Society ($1,877-$4,999)
  • Recalls the founding year of the University of Hartford. Members of the 1877 Society honor the University of Hartford with their gifts of $1,877 to $4,999.
• Red & White Society ($1,000-$1,876)
  • The annual giving society that recognizes donors who contribute $1,000 or more to one of the University's unrestricted funds.
• Anchor Club ($100-$999)
  • The USS Hartford anchor, which lies at the front entrance of the University of Hartford, is one of the University’s enduring physical landmarks. Members of the Anchor Club include donors who make gifts to the University of Hartford of $100-$1,876.

• Rosen Society – Honoring alumni who have made consecutive annual gifts to the University of Hartford for 5, 10, 15 and 20+ years. Named in honor of Bernard Rosen ’61, M’66, whose unbroken string of gifts to the University of Hartford has inspired generations of alumni to support their alma mater.
