BFA in Photography, Printmaking Minor / Hartford Art School, University of Hartford

Andrew Baris is a Connecticut-based artist living and working in Hartford, Conn. His work is based on the examination of relationships both personal and unacquainted. Currently Andrew relies on analog photography as his practice. He uses a 4x5 view camera with family and friends to slow down the photographic process in order to allow a breadth of conversation, thoughts, and feelings to evolve with the subjects. He uses a 35mm rangefinder to photograph strangers in order to capture the spontaneity of the moment.
