Alexa Miller to Deliver Art and Healthcare Lecture

The Hartford Art School will hold a lecture about the intersection of art and healthcare in Wilde Auditorium at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, April 11.

This year's lecturer, Arts Practica's Alexa Miller, unpacks why navigating uncertainty is the most important challenge that healthcare providers face in their daily work, and how arts experiences aid in this process.

Alexa Miller is an original co-creator of Harvard Medical School's Training the Eye: Improving the Art of Physical Diagnosis, a course that produced researched outcomes on the impact of arts experiences on medical student learning. This talk shares her insights from research as well as stories from her path as a teacher and collaborator across the disciplines of art and medicine. This event is made possible by the Koltenuk Endowed Fund.
