Parking Advisory

With forecast heavy rains for Saturday and the potential for both river and flash flooding, students are asked to avoid parking in low-lying areas of parking lots C, D, E (along the tree line), F (eastern most entrance by the pond), and N-Annex. Cars should now be on higher ground within these lots or in Lot F (by Konover Campus Center). Vehicles should be returned to their assigned parking lots by 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 21.

Amanda Lovelee is a visual artist based in Minneapolis, MN currently working as the City Artist for Public Art Saint Paul housed in the City of St Paul. Lovelee acts as translator between the city’s ideas and its residents with the goal of building a city everyone wants to live in.

As City Artist Lovelee has focused on civic engagement through both her projects Pop Up Meeting, a city popsicle truck, and Urban Flower Field, a vacant lot turned gathering space/live science project.  She is interested in how people connect and the spaces in which they do so within contemporary society. She has an MFA in Visual Studies from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and BFA in Photography from University of Hartford. Over the last year she has also had the great opportunity to return to her alma mater the Hartford Art School to teach as part of the innovative MFA program Nomad 9.
