Parking Advisory

With forecast heavy rains for Saturday and the potential for both river and flash flooding, students are asked to avoid parking in low-lying areas of parking lots C, D, E (along the tree line), F (eastern most entrance by the pond), and N-Annex. Cars should now be on higher ground within these lots or in Lot F (by Konover Campus Center). Vehicles should be returned to their assigned parking lots by 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 21.

B.F.A., Ceramics, 2010

Hollie graduated from HAS in 2010 with a BFA in Ceramics and an art history minor.  In 2012 she was an artist in residence at the Corning Center for the Fine Arts in Corning, IA. She is currently a 1st year MFA Candidate at Syracuse University.  Her most recent project is a series of kitschy functional and collectible plates.  Through humorous imagery and text, Hollie references pop culture while also critiquing and poking fun at the genre of the 'collectible' object.

My time at Hartford Art School and the University of Hartford were the best four years of my life. The faculty were passionate and professional and the facilities had everything I needed.  There were opportunities to show work on campus; I always looked forward to the Goldfarb Juried Student Exhibition. The rigorous curriculum honed my abilities and pushed me to try new mediums.  I even met my husband during my freshman year, although he was in the College of Nursing, Education and Health Professionals.
