Parking Advisory

With forecast heavy rains for Saturday and the potential for both river and flash flooding, students are asked to avoid parking in low-lying areas of parking lots C, D, E (along the tree line), F (eastern most entrance by the pond), and N-Annex. Cars should now be on higher ground within these lots or in Lot F (by Konover Campus Center). Vehicles should be returned to their assigned parking lots by 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 21.

Art History Minor
M.F.A. Photography, Lesley University, 2016

After I graduated from the Hartford Art School in 2014, I attended Graduate School at Lesley University earning my MFA in Photography under the direction of Christopher James. My current work is a combination of ceramic and photographic mediums, which stemmed from my time at the Hartford Art School when I was a double major in Ceramics and Photography with a minor in Art History. The emersion in both mediums and the encouraging support from all of my professors became a foundation for me to further understand the type of artwork I wanted to strive to make for graduate school and the future. During my graduate studies, I interned for the Cambridge Art Association and for the Office of the Arts Harvard Ceramics Program where I was able to produce my thesis work over the course of the past two years. There were so many amazing opportunities from Lesley University, the Cambridge Art Association, and Harvard Ceramics that included chances to curate, show work, and meet new colleagues. One such opportunity was to assist Kathy King, Director of Education at Harvard Ceramics, with the construction of Egyptian paste tiles for the collaborative reconstruction of Queen Hetepheres throne, a project lead by Rus Gant, which is now on display at the Harvard Semitic Museum.

I am currently displaying work in local galleries and in the Alternative Photography Exhibition at The Far Eastern Museum of Fine Art in Khabarovsk, Russia in February. I am also Co-Chair for the Pomona Valley Art Association's first Juried Photography Exhibition and creating work at the American Museum of Ceramic Art.
