Jim Ford

BFA 2004

This is a picture of Jim FordJim graduated from The Hartt School in 2004 with a BFA in acting. After graduating, Jim moved to New York City where he began landing jobs immediately. His first film role was in Across the Universe where he played a football player. Jim appeared in many TV roles including The Sopranos, Law & Order, Gossip Girl, CSI: NY, Fringe, and Ugly Betty.

Jim grew up in Worchester, Massachusetts. His love for acting and theater began at an early age. During the 6th grade, Jim participated in a sketch comedy class where he directed and performed his own skits. Before his senior year of high school, Jim had completed over 2 full-length feature films, along with a handful of short films.

As a child, Jim was always active and involved in sports. During the summer before Jim’s third year at Hartt, he decided to attend the International Stunt School in Seattle, Washington. His stunt skills included falls, fighting, car crashes, and fire scenes. His successful stunt career landed him a job as Edward Norton’s double.

Jim has also appeared in commercials for Intel, Stride Gum, the New York Lotto, Toyota, and Sam Adams beer.

He can also be seen in big screen movies such as Pride and Glory, I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry, and The Maiden Heist.

Jim has also directed and written numerous short films including Reconnaissance, Gotta Go, Wiffle Ball, Timmy Text Message, and White Zin.
