Auditions for High School Juniors

The Hartt School Announces Auditions for High School Juniors

  • The opportunity to audition for The Hartt School as a high school junior is only open to students who intend to major in dance, instrumental performance, jazz studies, or vocal performance.

  • The application submitted to schedule an audition this year will be used as the student's application for admission to the University of Hartford in the student's senior year.  No further application is needed.

  • Any admission offer and/or scholarship award made by The Hartt School as a result of this early application program is contingent upon academic acceptance to the University of Hartford in the student's senior year. High school juniors who audition, therefore, must submit their official high school transcript and test scores (if desired) in the fall of their senior year.  The Hartt School's offer of admission and scholarship will become effective upon the student's formal admission to the University of Hartford.

  • All offers of scholarship reflect a percentage of tuition only.

  • A high school junior who auditions and is offered a performance scholarship may choose to audition a second time to be considered for an increased scholarship while pursuing admission to the University of Hartford in his or her senior year.  This second audition for scholarship purposes must be completed by February 16, 2019.

  • A high school junior who auditions and is not conditionally admitted to The Hartt School through this program is welcome to apply again in their senior year.

  • Please email Hartt Admissions with any further questions about this opportunity.
