The Hartt School provides paid performing opportunities for our students. We are a resource that facilitates opportunities for Hartt musicians to perform at private parties, corporate parties, fundraisers, weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs and more. The students must be recommended by their studio faculty and must exemplify the highest levels of professionalism. We suggest submitting requests several weeks in advance so that interested students can review your request and then contact you directly. We cannot guarantee that your request will be filled.
The Hartt School does not issue contracts and the students set their own rates. We hope to expose students to a variety of performance experiences and, at the same time, give them the opportunity to earn some extra income. They are expected to uphold highest professional standards but the Hartt School cannot assume responsibility for student misconduct, cancellation, tardiness, etc.

For Students interested in joining the Gigline
The Gigline is a resource available to Hartt students who are prepared to perform in professional settings such as parties (corporate and private), fundraisers, weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs and more. It is our intention to expose students to a variety of performance opportunities.
When students perform gigs they are representing the Hartt School and must exemplify the highest levels of professionalism. Students must obtain the signature of their studio teacher or department chair verifying their qualifications. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to be exposed to a variety of professional experiences.
The students set their own rates and we do not issue contracts. The students are expected to arrive on time, dress appropriately, contact the purchaser for directions to the venue and information about music selections. Courteous behavior is expected at all times.
Available gigs are posted on the Hartt Gigline Blackboard page.
To register for access to the Hartt Gigline Blackboard page please fill out the attached “Gigline Policy Agreement” and have your studio teacher sign the “Faculty Referral” portion. Drop off the completed form to Rebecca Gould in the Hartt Administrative Suite, Fuller room 210.
