Jillian Cote, Administrative Director of the HCD Dance Department


Jillian Cote graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2006. She has inspired young dancers with her teaching throughout the New England area in both contemporary and ballet for over 10 years.  Read MorePrograms: ballet

Sarkis Kaltakhtchian, Artistic and Education Director


A native of Armenia, Sarkis Kaltakhtchian studied at the Choreographic Institute of Yerevan, where he graduated with honors. Thereafter, he joined the Armenian National Ballet. In 1989, Kaltakhtchian was invited to join Ballets Classique de Montreal.   Read MorePrograms: ballet

Kalee Marquis


Kalee began dancing competitively at the age of five. She received extensive training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and tap from Mark Simpson of Dance Arts Centre in Forestville, CT. While she enjoys all genres, Kalee considers tap to be her forte, having secured first place in her age category at the American Dance Awards National Competition in 2008.  Read More

Chelsea Massey


Chelsea Massey began her technical dance training in Staunton, VA at Valley Dance Theater under the direction of Kimberly Field. Her passion for all dance forms was enriched with training under the guidance of dance masters such as Frank Hatchett, Joshua Bergasse, Dustin Phillips and Tony Vitale enabling her to become proficient in jazz, lyrical, hip hop, ballet, modern, and tap.

Mary Ann Mayer


Ms. Mayer’s early training began in Rhode Island studying under the direction of Herci and Myles Marsden, Anton Dolon, Christine Hennessey, Winthrop Corey and Lydia Petine.  As a founding member of Festival Ballet Providence, Ms. Mayer performed roles in many company productions while earning a BA from the University of Rhode Island.  Read More

Libby Nye


Libby Nye, a graduate of the Juilliard School, has been a soloist and principal dancer with many companies including the Jose Limon Company and The American Dance Theater at Lincoln Center. Emma Triantafyllou


Emma Triantafyllou started her training at Connecticut Concert Ballet at age 3. She was involved in the Trainee Pre-Professional Programs at CCB from 2009-2012 and the Ensemble Program from 2014-2018. She has attended CCB summer programs, the Hartt School's "From Studio to Stage" summer program, and the ABT Weekend Swan Lake Repertory Intensive.  Read More

Robyne Watkin


Robyne Watkin received her formal training at the The Royal Academy of Dance in her native Johannesburg South Africa, graduating with honors and her teaching certification. She performed professionally with P.A.C.T Ballet Company in South Africa continuing her extensive career as a principal dancer with major companies in London, Paris, Vienna, and Israel.  Read More

Collaborative Pianist: Sofia Diouk


Sofia Diouk graduated from the V.E. Sojo Conservatory with a degree in music and piano performance and later attended Indiana University at Bloomington as a visiting scholar. Diouk then attended the University of Hartford's The Hartt School, where she received her MM in piano performance with an emphasis in pedagogy.  Read More

Pianist Dina Simanovich holds a Master for Music from St. Petersburg Conservatory and a Bachelor of Music from St. Petersburg Music College in Russia. She has also earned diplomas as a piano soloist, piano instructor, and accompanist.   Read More

Collaborative Pianist: Timothy Wallace


In addition to serving as a collaborative pianist for HCD, Timothy Alexandre Wallace serves as Music Director/Organist at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Simsbury, Conn. and manages Studio 59 in Torrington. Wallace is a member of the American Guild of Organists, the Royal Canadian College of Organists, and a performing member of the improvisational group Improvelocity, Boston. He is also on the Baldwin Roster of Artists.  Read More
