Timothy WallaceTimothy Alexandre Wallace has enjoyed a rich and rewarding career as a pianist and composer. He has concertized nationally as a soloist and has performed, composed, and arranged music for ballet companies, theatres, schools, and churches. Additionally, Wallace is a private piano instructor with over 30 years experience teaching students of all ages. He is honored to have students who continue more intensive study at universities and conservatories in the United States and Europe. As an accompanist, he has worked with choral ensembles and dance companies, including serving as Principal Accompanist for the Dallas Ballet Conservatory and Nutmeg Ballet and as staff accompanist for the Joffrey Ballet Workshop San Antonio. He has served as music director for theatres, including a national tour with Theatre Three, Dallas. His compositions include vocal and instrumental works.

In the summer of 2007, Wallace opened Studio 59 in Torrington, Conn., an intimate venue for live performances of classical, jazz, and world music. His first recording, A Gift and The Desire, was released under his recording label, AlbaRose Recordings, in 2010. In the fall of 2008, he founded the Alexandre School of Piano, dedicated to excellence in the teaching and performance of piano, and only piano.

In addition to serving as a collaborative pianists for The Hartt School Community Division, he serves as Music Director/Organist at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Simsbury, Conn. and manages his studio in Torrington. Wallace is a member of the American Guild of Organists, the Royal Canadian College of Organists, and a performing member of the improvisational group Improvelocity, Boston. He is also on the Baldwin Roster of Artists.
