Greater Hartford Youth Wind Ensemble

Wind ensemble for high-school students in grades 1012

The Greater Hartford Youth Wind Ensemble (GHYWE) is composed of dedicated high-school students. GHYWE performs advanced wind-ensemble repertoire, including traditional, modern, and new works. GHYWE originated in the 1950s from the Hartt Youth Symphonic Band and the Connecticut Valley Youth Wind Ensemble. Nearly 70 years of exceptional training is at the core of each rehearsal and performance.
