Lisa Woodard, Traditional Violin

Lisa Woodard is a graduate of New England Conservatory where she received a degree in Violin Performance. She has done graduate studies at The Hartt School. She has studied Suzuki Pedagogy through Book 4 and uses her knowledge of Suzuki pedagogy to enhance all her teaching, including traditional lessons. Lisa has been teaching for over 25 years. She taught for the Essex Community Music School, the Suzuki Programs at Central Connecticut, and UConn, as well as in Farmington, Simsbury,Hartford and New Haven Public Schools.

Ms. Woodard has performed with local orchestras including Hartford Symphony, Springfield Symphony, Waterbury Symphony, New London Symphony, Wallingford Symphony, Bridgeport Symphony, and the Rhode Island Philharmonic. She was also a member of Symphony Nova Scotia.

She enjoys working with all ages and levels and the challenge of finding what works for each individual. She wants her students to love playing and be confident in knowing they have met their highest potential.
