Marko Stuparevic

Pianist Marko Stuparevic has appeared in over 500 concerts in 8 countries over the Europe, Israel, and USA. He has won top prizes in the Dmitar Nenov, American Protege, Petar Konjovic, Dr. Vojislav Vuckovic, Josip Slavenski and Nikolai Rubinstein competitions resulting in performances with the Razgrad Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra of the Army House of Serbia, and the National Symphony of Bulgaria.     

Since coming to the US, Stuparevic has performed more than 200 times as a solo performer, chamber musician, and collaborative artist in New York, Connecticut, Virginia, and Arizona. Besides many notable solo recitals, he also performed with 20/20 Chamber Honors Program, Vagus Trio, Hartford Independent Chamber Orchestra, Foot in the Door, Dahlia Duo, Celesti Sondato, and 016. He performed at the Women's Music Festival, New Music Festival, and many other events. His recent performance with the principal Martha Graham dancer Miki Orihara at LaMama Moves Festival in New York City received high praise by the New York Times, Arts Journal, and Oberon Groove.

Stuparevic will had his Carnegie Hall debut in March 2015.

From 2011–14 Stuparevic has received the Evelyn Bonar Storrs scholarship from the Musical Club of Hartford for excellence in piano performance.

Stuparevic is currently pursuing his Doctoral degree (DMA) at The Hartt School working with an internationally acclaimed pianist Paul Rutman. Stuparevic holds Master of Music degree from The Hartt School and a Bachelors from University of Arts, Belgrade, Serbia. His previous teachers include Jokut Mihailovic, Phillip Kawin, Hristina Vukovic, and Bozena Griner. He was also working with Anne Koscielny, Colin Stone, Roswitha Gediga, Arbo Valdma, Tijana Humo-Rajevac, and Aleksandar Sandorov.

Additionally, he is working as a Piano Teaching Fellow and accompanist at The Hartt School, and The Hartt School Community Division. Stuparevic is dedicated teacher and member of Music Teachers National Association, Connecticut State Music Teachers Association, and Hartford Music Teachers Alliance.
