Her Internship

Valerie GreeneValerie Greene spent the summer between her sophomore and junior year in the UK. She took classes at London South Bank University and took part in a 6-week internship program. Through Anglo Educational Services' abroad program, Valerie worked as the marketing coordinator for the Sports Disability Profram, which teaches students how to coach sports for people with disabilities.

Valerie described the program as being outstanding. "I learned a lot about working in an office, doing outreach, and being part of a team. I also thoroughly enjoyed my class at LSBU".

Hillyer's impact

Near the end of her abroad trip, Valerie sat down to write the Dean of Hillyer College a note. To David H. Goldenberg she wrote, "I wanted to thank you so much for your guidance, support, and encouragement through my two years at Hillyer. It was the perfect program for me, as it provided the perfect transition from high school to college and allowed me to mature academically... I could not have done this without you and the faculty of Hillyer."

Where is she now?

Valerie is currently in her junior year at the University of Hartford. She is pursuing a major in psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences.
