Summer Courses
Hillyer College offers students a three week schedule of Mayterm classes, as well as two summer sessions of six and eight weeks respectively.Many students find themselves needing to make up credits or to raise their GPA at the end of the Spring Semester because they have dropped or failed courses.
If this describes your situation, the following message is for you!
Top Ten Reasons to Register for May and Summerterm Classes:
- 10. I want to take a course which focuses on difficult subject matter in a concentrated time frame without sacrificing the chance to take and keep a summer job (Mayterm)
- 9. I want a unique opportunity to explore elective classes that I might not have time for during the regular fall and spring semesters
- 8. I want the month of August free, and Session I runs from late May through the end of June and/or early July
- 7. I want some downtime at the beginning and end of the summer break period, and Session II runs from early July through mid –August
- 6. I want to raise my GPA by retaking a class to replace a failing grade
- 5. I want to take a core Hillyer course which I cannot take on another campus
- 4. I am a first year student who is ending my second semester with fewer than 30 credits and want to stay on track to graduate in four semesters
- 3. I am a second year student whose graduation “walk-through” agreement requires that I take Summerterm credits
- 2. I am a student who thrives in small classes with individual attention from my Instructor
- 1. The number one reason to register for Summerterm is: AIR-CONDITIONING!
