Storm Advisory

Blizzard conditions are now impacting our region and a Connecticut statewide travel ban is in effect. The University will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 27.  Day and evening classes are canceled. An updated advisory on the status of classes and operations for Wednesday will be posted Tuesday evening. During the time that the University is closed, the Commons, Subway, and Village Market will maintain regular hours for residential dining services and the Sports Center will be open for use by residential students only. Wellness Walk Award Recipients

Below are the Hawk Walk teams that walked the furthest during prior Wellness Challenges.

Hawk Walk/Run Challenge Team Winner

The Fall 2010 Wellness Hawk Walk/Run Challenge winners, with an average of 88,275 steps, and the first team to win the Wellness Cup are the Super Striders. Team members are Claudia Oaks, Lucy Richard, Peg Ciarcia, Dan DeMaio, and Donna Haghighat.  

Hawk Walk/Run Challenge Individual Winner

The Fall 2010 Wellness Hawk Walk/Run Challenge individual winner, with an average of 1,335,344 steps was Odette Jack-Quow.
