Did you know that studying abroad through an approved University of Hartford program counts as a High Impact Practice (HIP)? Students are required to engage in a number of HIPS throughout their college career, which are designed to deepen learning and promote engagement.
Participate in a short-term study abroad program and spend one to three weeks abroad with a University of Hartford faculty member while you earn credit toward graduation. Immerse yourself within another culture while exploring cities and communities with fellow University of Hartford students. Short-term programs are affordable, and enable students in many highly structured programs to study abroad. These programs are also a great option for students unable to go abroad for a full semester.
Part-time undergraduate and all graduate students participating in a faculty-led program abroad as part of a semester course will be billed 50% of the cost of tuition (see Bursar's Office for current tuition rates).

Deposits can be made in one of two ways:
Payment Option #1: If you wish to make the payment on campus, The University of Hartford accepts cash, personal checks, money order, or traveler's checks at the Student Administrative Services Center (SASC) – please note that the International Center cannot receive student checks. You can make checks payable to the UNIVERSITY OF HARTFORD. When paying the program deposit at SASC, ensure that the payment is applied to "Off-Campus Study Deposit"; otherwise, it will not count towards your study abroad program.
Payment Option #2: If you wish to make the payment online, The University of Hartford accepts E-check (ACH) and credit card payments online through the CASHNet site on the Self-Service Center Account. Accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. There is no fee to make payment using an e-check; however, credit card payments are made using CASHNet SmartPay and will apply a service charge of 2.75% of the transaction amount.
