Scholarships & Funding

The International Center strongly encourages students to participate in a wide variety of study abroad programs administered through the University of Hartford.  Most of your financial aid is available for study abroad as long as you are on an approved program.

Did you know studying abroad through an approved University of Hartford program counts as a High Impact Practice (HIP)? Students are required to engage in a number of HIPS throughout their college career, which are designed to deepen learning and promote engagement.

University of Hartford Scholarships

The International Center offers students the chance to earn money towards their overseas experience in the form of a few different scholarships.  Click here to learn more about the various scholarships offered, including the First Year London, Domenica Di Matteo, Gladys & Robert Dunn, the International Experience Endowed Fund, John G. Martin, and Elizabeth Williams Cathles Awards.



Program Provider Scholarships

Did you know many of the program providers we work with offer scholarships to students participating on their programs?  Some of these organizations give up to $5 Million dollars a year in study abroad scholarships - you could be next!


External Scholarships

There are scholarships are available from outside parties in addition to those offered through UHart and our program providers.  Some scholarships require you to complete an essay while others involve simply submitting your name.  Make sure to check the sites regularly as the offerings can change frequently.
