In the second part of this two-part interview, Professor Lynne Kelly, director of the School of Communication in the University's College of Arts and Sciences, talks about the use (and misuse) of meetings, email, the telephone, texting, and the new social media technologies; "channel choice", effectiveness and appropriateness in communication; and the enduring place of face-to-face contact.

Kelly, who teaches courses in group, organizational, and interpersonal communication; communication technologies and relationships; and research methods; also teaches a special communication course for shy and apprehensive students.
