Bob Celmer, a professor of mechanical engineering in the University of Hartford's College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture, discusses the field of acoustics and the scope of UHart's undergraduate acoustics program; including a unique music-and-acoustics degree; He outlines the six branches of the field as taught at UHart -- architectural acoustics, musical acoustics, environmental acoustics, hearing and psychoacoustics, audio, and noise control;. He also talks about careers in acoustics; and the value of including an acoustician in an architectural design team.

Celmer also talks about his musical background, his interest in jazz and his association with WWUH Radio, where he hosts a weekly morning jazz program..
