Retrospective of Top Student Work on Display in Hartford Art School’s Silpe Gallery

The Silpe Gallery at the Hartford Art School is currently hosting "Goldfarb Retrospective," a collection of nearly two dozen pieces of prize-winning artwork from the past 22 years of the Alexander A. Goldfarb Student Exhibition. The exhibition is on displayuntil September 24 in Silpe Gallery, which is open Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The Goldfarb Student Exhibition is held each year at the University of Hartford. All full-time undergraduate and graduate students of the University are invited to submit up to two works of art to be considered for the exhibition.Of the works selected for the show, two undergraduate students are chosen to receive Purchase Awards in the amount of $1,000 each. The winning students' artwork then becomes a part of the Goldfarb Memorial Collection, to be owned by the Hartford Art School and proudly displayed throughout the University, in offices and public spaces.

The "Goldfarb Retrospective" exhibition is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the K-visitor lot in front of the Hartford Art School. For more information, please visit or call 860.768.4393.
