Members of the University of Hartford’s Women for Change group will be painting umbrellas with messages of peace on Wednesday, March 30 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. in Gengras Student Union Room 331.

This event is part of the global art project, Lamb Umbrellas for Peace. University students will join the people from more than two dozen countries who have designed umbrellas that represent their personal values of world peace.

Students will carry the umbrellas during the University’s “Take Back the Night” march on Tuesday, April 5.

This is the second consecutive year University students have participated in the Lamb Umbrellas for Peace project. To see photos of their umbrellas, please visit the University of Hartford News Facebook page.
