The University of Hartford’s Hartford Art School will be hosting “Community,” an exhibit of works by top student-artists from all 12 of the state’s community colleges. The show will feature a wide variety of media and will be celebrated with an opening reception on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public, and will include an awards presentation to the top student-artists.
The exhibition will run from Monday, Feb. 20 to Wednesday, March 7, in Silpe Gallery at the Hartford Art School. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Exhibitors will include: Emily Allen and Victor Tobon from Asnuntuck Community College; Jennifer Brubacher and Jessica Soltes from Gateway Community College; Abe Pulido and Zachary Cowen from Housatonic Community College; Matthew Becker and Elyse Cote from Manchester Community College; Francisco Mandujano from Norwalk Community College; Laura Clough and Nicholas Jannetty from Naugatuck Valley Community College; Samantha Compasso and Heather Scoggin from Three Rivers Community College; Ethan Fredrick Newman and Malgorzata Szubra from Northwest Community College; Susan Bukowsky and Jamie Novik from Middlesex Community College; Akanksha Sule and Joel Tretheway from Quinebaug Valley Community College; and Erica Field and Laura Nadeau from Tunxis Community College.
