Civil Discourse in Politics Focus of University of Hartford Panel Discussion

The Gov. M. Jodi Rell Center for Public Service at the University of Hartford is presenting a panel discussion, Civil Discourse in Politics, Monday, March 6, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Harry Jack Gray Center’s Wilde Auditorium on the University of Hartford campus. Max Reiss, political reporter for NBC Connecticut, will serve as moderator. The panel will explore how uncivil discourse in campaigning and governance shapes our view of politicians and our world. The discussion will include how we can maintain civility in these times of partisanship and social media, and what role the media plays in the process.

Panelists are Connecticut House Speaker Joe Aresimowicz (D), Senate Republican President Pro Tempore Len Fasano, Journal Inquirer Managing Editor Chris Powell, and CTNewsJunkie Editor Christine Stuart.
