Graduate Commencement Ceremony

Commencement Weekend is always full of smiles, applause, cheers, and happiness and 2015 is living up to that joyful reputation. About 400 University graduate students received masters, certificate, and doctoral degrees during the Saturday, May 16 ceremony under a full tent that seats 3,000 on the Gengras Lawn.

Keynote speaker Maria Livanos Cattaui, former secretary general of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) challenged the graduates to prepare for a rapidly evolving job market. Honorary degrees were presented to Cattaui as well as to actor, singer, composer, producer, and minister Clifton Davis; internationally acclaimed architect Tai Soo Kim; and world-renowned jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins.
