In honor of the University’s 50th Commencement, the Office of Alumni Relations invited all members of the Class of 1957 to attend the ceremony and receive special recognition. These graduates wore gold robes signifying the 50th anniversary and were seated together in a reserved section of the audience.
Also in attendance were representatives from each graduating class since 1945, who processed during the ceremony with the 2007 graduates. The alumni wore gold medallions around their necks bearing their years of graduation.
In the 50 years since, the University has grown into a global institution whose students and faculty are changing the world. Observer Full Issue
