Early Adventure 2013

Would you like to come to the University of Hartford a few days sooner than you planned?
Would you like to spend three days and two nights at a picturesque and rustic location in
cabins set beneath towering pines with 100 other first-year students? Would you
like to be in a beautiful setting with opportunities for interactions that will challenge and
encourage you to respect, trust, and cooperate with other new students? Would you like to canoe, play games, swim, sit around a campfire eating s'mores, and challenge yourself on a ropes course? If so, read on . . .

Camp Woodstock, situated along the shores of beautiful Black Pond in the Woodstock Valley of Connecticut's northeast corner, is the location of our pre-semester program entitled "Early Adventure 2013". You, along with approximately 100 other new students will get to share 48 hours off-campus before the start of the fall semester.

Participating students will arrive on campus on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, between 9 and 11 a.m., move into their assigned rooms, and then get on a bus at 1 p.m. for the trip to Camp Woodstock. We will return to campus on Friday morning (Aug. 30) in time for lunch.  Students who are signed up to attend orientation session 5 are also invited to participate and WILL NOT miss any part of orientation.

The cost for "Early Adventure" is $200. This non-refundable fee covers transportation, lodging, and meals. It's first-come, first-served, so if you are interested, please fill out and mail in the registration form.  A waiting list will be maintained after the program is filled.
