A blizzard warning goes into effect for our area this evening and Connecticut has issued a statewide travel ban starting at 9 p.m. The University is now closed as of 3 p.m. today and will be closed all day tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 27. Day and evening classes are canceled through tomorrow. An updated advisory on the status of classes and operations for Wednesday will be posted Tuesday evening. During the time that the University is closed, the Commons, Subway, and Village Market will maintain regular hours for residential dining services and the Sports Center will be open for use by residential students only. SPIN is a service subscribed to by the University of Hartford through InfoEd, Inc. It contains solicitations from both public and private sources. Faculty and staff at the University of Hartford who are interested in accessing SPIN may contact OSP for directions how to register, or may go directly to the GENIUS component of InfoEd to create a profile themselves. Directions are provided.
Grants.gov is the primary source for federal funding opportunities. It can be searched by key word, category, agency or CFDA number. CFDA numbers are like Dewey decimal numbers that get assigned to every federal program, and are listed in the CFDA Subject Index. CFDA numbers can be searched using the wild card symbol * (star), e.g. 84*.
The Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) home page is another great source for federal grants and contracts.
FBO Daily is a 3rd party site that draws information from FedBizOpps and organizes by subject.
The SBIR/STTR Gateway includes the latest solicitations for small businesses, many of whom seek partners in higher education.
CT Recovery is the state of Connecticut's website contains both state funding opportunities and federal passthrough funding available through state agencies.

FoundationSearch is a service subscribed to by the University of Hartford. It is a leading source of foundation funding information for non-profits. Please contact the office of Institutional Partnership and Sponsored Programs for more information. This service can only be accessed by the Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations.
The Foundation Center allows you to search their website alphabetically or by keyword to find links to foundations and corporate giving programs.
