Peer Mediator

Peer Mediators is a new pilot program set to begin at the start of the 2013-2014 academic year.  This opportunity is a non-paid volunteer position, which will serve on an as needed basis to help students and student groups who need assistance with resolving a dispute. Peer Mediators facilitate the communication process between involved parties, clarify views and issues, and assist involved parties in completing an agreement, if desired. Only 10-15 students will be selected to serve as Peer Mediators.

All selected applicants must attend all mediation-training sessions on the following days:
Session 1
1 p.m.–4 p.m. Sunday
Session 2
3 p.m.–6 p.m. Friday
Session 3
3 p.m.–6 p.m. Friday

If these training dates conflict with your academic coursework alternate arrangements will be made to provide additional training.

Applications are due by February 22, 2013. All applicants will receive notification by March 15, 2013. Further questions regarding the this program or the selection process can be directed to:
