Students must discuss damage and cleaning responsibilities with roommate(s) in advance of departure from campus. All personal belongings from their room and common areas must be removed. Their room/suite/apartment must be thoroughly cleaned. All trash must be taken to the dumpster, and all doors must be closed and locked prior to departure. If a student is concerned about damages in their room/living area they must be aware and follow the end-of-year damage process.
Residents must check out of their assignments within 24 hours of completing their last final or by 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 (unless graduating or approved to stay longer) and must return their keys directly to an ORL staff member.
Express Checkout: Once the above steps have been completed, the student will meet with a Residential Life staff member at their designated check out location (listed below). Students will be given the opportunity to review their Room Condition Report unless they are doing a check-out in the main Office of Residential Life. The Room Condition Report is a record of the condition of your room/apartment/suite when you moved into your housing assignment. When the student checked-in, it was their responsibility to return the Room Condition Report to the staff of their area.
Residents can check out of their room assignment beginning Wednesday, May 7, 2014 through Wednesday May 14, 2014
Students must check-out with an Office of Residential Life Staff member. All keys must be turned in at check-out to avoid being charged a lock change fee.
Students may locate their Resident Assistant for check-out by calling the RA Duty phone of their area or by going to their check-out location.
Failure to adhere to these policies may result in loss of the student's fall housing assignment and/or their place on any and all Room Change requests and Wait List. Students may also be charged the Late Stay and Improper Checkout fees.
