Late Opening on Wednesday, January 28

In the aftermath of the winter storm, the University of Hartford will open on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Classes will begin at 10:30 a.m.   snow closing guide

Until that time, the Commons, Subway, and Village Market will maintain regular hours for residential dining services and the Sports Center will be open normal hours for use by residential students only. Gengras Student Union and University Libraries remain closed until the University reopens Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Campus Services



The Facilities Department is responsible for the management and maintenance of the University's buildings and grounds. This includes a range of important services such as custodial, grounds keeping, furniture, construction, renovations, trash control, emergency response, and much more.   Go


Information Technology Services

Information Technology Services (ITS) operates the University's data, telephone, and video networks; the main administrative and academic computer systems; and four of the academic computer labs.  Go


Public Safety

Public Safety is responsible for safety and security on campus. It is in full operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Go


Dining Services

Dining Services is under the operation of ARAMARK, offering the entire University community quality food service.


Library Services

University Libraries includes the general collection in the Mortensen Library and the music and dance collection in the Allen Library. Both are located in the Harry Jack Gray Center. There are six other campus libraries as well.  Go

Sports Center

All full-time undergraduate students have automatic membership at the Sports Center. The center includes a modern health-and-fitness facility; an eight-lane swimming pool; and basketball, squash, racquetball, and tennis courts.  Go


ID Office

All University of Hartford students must have an ID with a validation sticker that signifies  good financial standing with the Bursar's Office. The ID card is used for dorm and meal-plan access, the library, flex-account access, the Sports Center, and much more.
