Tuesday, March 3: University Closing at 7 p.m.

Due to expected storm conditions, the University will close at 7 p.m. this evening. All classes starting at or after 7 p.m. are canceled. Individual professors may opt to conduct classes or provide assignments online when the campus is closed, so students should check Blackboard and their email to learn of any alternate arrangements.  snow closing guide

University Libraries will close at 7 p.m. tonight. The University Commons dining facility, Subway, the Village Market, and the Hawk's Nest will be open normal hours tonight. All other dining locations will close at 6 p.m. 

All Hartt Community Division activities after 3 p.m. today are canceled.

Angel Tree Project

The "Angel Tree" will begin on Monday, November 18th and will run until Friday, Dec. 6th.  Pick an angel off the tree located in the GSU Suisman Lounge, pledge to buy the specified gift on the angel, and help make a child's holiday wish come true!

Wish lists were created by children of the South Park Inn (soutparkinn.org) and the Village for Families and Children (villageforchildren.org) in Hartford.

Tabling will take place from 11 p.m.–2 p.m. in GSU on:

  • Tuesday, November 19,2013
  • Wednesday, November 20,2013
  • Thursday, November 21, 2013
  • Friday, November 22, 2013
  • Monday, November 25, 2013
  • Monday, December 2, 2013
  • Tuesday, December 3, 2013

Participants can also pick up an angel at the Center for Community Service located in GSU 209 anytime Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m..

All gifts must be dropped off unwrapped at the Center for Community Service by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6th.
