SGA and the Center for Community Service are co-sponsoring a day of community service in Hartford on April 27th for students, staff, and faculty. The Day of Service is a great way for participants to implement the University of Hartford’s value statement “Committed to Community”. Participants will engage in community service at local churches, parks, shelters, food pantries, and other local non - profits while others will clean up local streets and parks.

Kick Off and registration is at 10:30am at Konover Great Room.
Participants will be transported to community service locations. Transportation will be provided from Konover.
11:30am to 3:30pm
Students, faculty and staff will participate in service projects in Hartford.
4:00pm
End of Service BBQ held at the University of Hartford.
All participants will receive a complimentary Day of Service T-shirt.
More than 200 students, faculty, and staff took part in the University's first ever "Hawks Helping Hartford" Day of Service event on April 8, 2011. Participants volunteered at a variety of sites throughout Hartford including street and park cleanups, painting projects, and various projects with our community partners.
