With a severe winter storm forecast to affect our area during Saturday night and Sunday, residential students are asked to postpone their return to campus to Monday afternoon or, for those whose class schedules allow, Tuesday. Students, please do not arrive on campus Sunday, and check back here throughout the storm's duration for the latest advisories. Those students whose travel arrangements do not allow for a return to campus on Monday or Tuesday will be permitted to arrive during the day on Saturday and will be able to access their residential space by ID swipe. (Please note that meal plans go into effect with the Sunday evening meal.)

The SGA E-Board is elected at the end of the Spring Semester each year. These individuals head the University of Hartford's Student Government Association and are responsible for various aspects of life at the university.
Yavana is a junior majoring in Chemistry & Politics and Government with a minor in Environmental Studies. Yavana is originally from Georgetown, Guyana but now lives in Paxton, Massachusetts. Yavana’s previous positions include C Complex Senator (2016-2017) and Arts & Science Senator (2017-2018). Outside of SGA, Yavana is the President for Women Against Rape and Sexual Assault (WARS), a Resident Assistant in C & D Complex, as well as a member of the Women’s Ultimate Frisbee Team. There are so many amazing clubs at this university and she urges you to get involved! If you ever want to chat, stop by the office, Yavana loves talking about politics and conspiracy theories!

Simeon is a junior, economics and finance major here at the university. He was born and raised in Montclair, New Jersey and is very interested in politics, music, and working out. If you ever want to talk about anything political, fitness/athleticism, or any type of music, feel free to come by his cubicle. Good vibes are welcome! Aside from being a part of SGA, Simeon is a part of Red Caps, Resident Assistant in C and D Complexes, and Community Attendant in Hawk Hall. He has served as C Complex Senator his freshman year and E Complex Senator his sophomore year and is ready to take on the position as Finance Vice President for his junior year.

Lukas Struppe is a sophomore in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture, studying Mechanical Engineering and Acoustics. He is from Gloucester, Massachusetts, loves swimming, CrossFit, and going on adventures, wherever they may bring him. He is part of the Theta Chi Fraternity on campus, as well as Outdoors Club. Lukas will also be a Resident Assistant for the 2018-2019 academic year. His freshman year he served as the Hawk Hall Senator for Student Government. He plans on continuing to increase the involvement on campus, highlighting student success, and bringing together the campus community as a whole through his role as Public Relations Vice President.
Joseph Perez is a Junior Secondary Education major from Carmel, New York. Joe's previous position in SGA includes Village Senator (2017-2018). Aside from SGA, Joe is apart of the Redkey Society, and a Resident Assistant for first-year students. In his spare time, Joe enjoys going on spontaneous adventures with friends and working out and sharing his love for avocados to everyone he knows. Through the next academic year, Joe will strive to set forth the goals listed in his platform, including the improvement of student activities and the overall student life experience here on campus.

"Hello, my name is Liam Bernier. I turned 20 in February of 2018. I’m now a junior double majoring in architecture and civil engineering. I love being outdoors thus I am interested in protecting our environment and promoting sustainability. I am trying to get more sustainability here on campus. In addition, I love to play ultimate on our club team. And I’m involved in AIAS and other clubs on campus."

James Brino is a Junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Acoustics and is from Southington, CT. He will be serving as one of the Student Regent for the 2018-2019 school year. He is excited to influence long-term plans and policies set by the Board of Regents during his term. Previous to this role, James served as A-Complex Senator, and as the Executive Assistant to the President, Bryson Owens, in the 2017-2018 school year. He is currently involved in the long-term planning of the Companion Program (Refillable Water Bottle Program) and Engage (Club Management Platform) within Student Government. He is also involved in the Knights of Columbus, and recently started the University of Hartford Council 16858, and is currently serving on the Knights of Columbus National College College Council Advisory Board. He is also involved in the Pep Band.

Kyle is a senior, biology and chemistry double major, and he is from Westborough, Massachusetts. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys reading, playing soccer, and most of all running. Outside of SGA, Kyle is a Resident Assistant for the Honors floor of Hawk Hall, a research student in Dr. Yingcui Li’s Lab, and a volunteer for St. Francis Hospital. During his sophomore year he held the position of Senator of the College of Arts and Sciences and in his junior year, he held the position of Senator of the Junior Class.

Malcolm Virgil is a junior double majoring in Cinema and Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising. He loves being outdoors, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and thrift shopping. He is part of the Ultimate Frisbee Team as well as Red Key, Photography Club, and Joint Film Production Club. Malcolm was previously the Academic Vice President on Student Government last year and looks forward to continue serving the student body in his new position.

Peter Morgan is going into his senior year as a mathematics major at the university. He’s from around the area and graduated from Wolcott, CT. Some previous positions he’s held in student government was the Student Affairs Vice President Associate, E Complex Senator, and was on the Traffic Appeals Board. Other involvements on campus he has is being a Resident Assistant, a Tour Guide, and being an Orientation Leader. An interest he likes to do outside of student government is singing and being apart of the A Capella group Hawkapella. He is excited to work on the executive board and serve underneath the current president Nicole Milette.
