SGA E-Board

The SGA E-Board is elected at the end of the Spring Semester each year. These individuals head the University of Hartford's Student Government Association and are responsible for various aspects of life here at the university.  

Emily Audibert - Executive Vice President

Emily Audibert is a senior in the Barney School of Business, triple majoring in Economics/Finance, Accounting, and Entrepreneurial Studies. She is currently serving as this year’s Executive Vice President. This is her third year in SGA previously serving as a Student Regent, and Park river Senator. Emily is a member of the University’s Dance Team. She also is a Dance Teacher at Triple Threat Dance Co., Where she teaches Children from the ages of 2.5 and 8 years. She also won the title of Miss Connecticut. audibert@hartford.edu

Jess Powers - Finance Vice President 

Jess Powers is a Barney student majoring in Economics and Finance. She is a Senior, originally from New Hampshire. She is actively involved on campus, belonging to not only SGA but also Economics and Finance Club and the Barney Leadership Council. This is her Third year as the Finance Vice-President and her fourth year with SGA. She served as the Barney Senator during her freshman year. She is the head of the Finance Committee, and serves as the only student representative to the University’s Budget Advisory Team. jpowers@hartford.edu

Cassandra Fowlie - Student Affairs Vice President 

Cassandra Fowlie (better known as Cassii) is a sophomore serving her second year in Student Government. She was previously the Freshman Senator and is planning to stay active in the organization for the rest of her years here at Hartford. Aside from holding her position in SGA, Cassii is also a member of Habitat For Humanity and Red Caps. She is originally from Parsippany, New Jersey and hopes to become a part of the Hartt School as a Performing Arts Management major so she can one day open up her own concert venue.

Bhavin Shah - Public Relations Vice President 

Bhavin Shah is a sophomore from Clifton, New Jersey majoring in Health Science on a seven year Pre-Osteopathy track.This is his second year in SGA. He is currently the Public Relations Vice President and was Hawk Hall Senator last year. Some of his duties consist of being responsible for all advertisement and P.R. for SGA-run events as well as sending out the universities' weekly student-wide email, "Hawk Talk". He is also involved in EKTA, Ultimate Frisbee, NRHH, and other activities on campus. If you want your club's upcoming events posted in Hawk Talk, contact him at sga@hartford.edu.

Victoria Lamagna - Academics Vice President 

Victoria Lamagna is a senior, Psychology major with a minor in Chemistry and biology with honors. She is currently the Academic Vice-President of the Student Government Association and has previously held the positions of executive assistant and B-complex senator. Acting as a liaison between the faculty and the students by attending faculty senate and working with the library to make improvements are just two of the duties she performs as Academic V.P. Victoria is also actively involved in Women for Change and is an intro to chemistry lab instructor.lamagna@hartford.edu

Sharae Lewis Hunter  - Student Regent

My name is Sharae Lewis Hunter and I am one of the Student Regents for the 2012-2013 year. I have been a part of SGA since be freshman year as Freshman Senator and EVP Associate. I am currently a senior majoring in Politics & Government. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and I am the youngest of three. I aspire to go into education policy as a long-term career and upon graduation, I will be teaching at Excellence Boys Charter School in Brooklyn, NY.  

Michael Brown - Student Regent

Michael Brown is a senior in the Barney School of Business, majoring in Accounting and Economic/Finance. He is one of the Student Regents for the University of Hartford and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Beta Alpha Si and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies. In reference to his academic achievements, Michael has received the Regent Scholar award, Beta Gamma Sigma’s Charles R. Canedy Award and the Beta Alpha Si Accounting Excellence award for 2011 and 2012. mibrown@hartford.edu

Nora Kaszubowski - Executive Assistant 

Nora Kaszubowski is a junior from Vermont. She is in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Business Management. She is also hoping to minor in Photography. Nora is the Executive Assistant for this year. Last year was her first year in Student Government as the Associate to the Vice President of Student Affairs. Nora is also a Resident Assistant for the WISET RLC in Hawk Hall for her second year. She has also been involved with RHA and the Alternative Spring Break Program. kaszubows@hartford.edu
