Responsible for protection of life and property. Service oriented department concentration on prevention, protection, and response. Provides security/safety programming and services to the University community and works closely with our residential population. Responds to all calls for service, complaints, and emergencies. Operates a student escort service as well as an evening shuttle service. Department operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. Certified Public Safety staff offer a women’s self defense program which is open to all female students, faculty, and staff. Staff are committed to providing a safe environment in which academic and leisure activities can be pursued.
